After a $2 million project, the trail between 10th and 56th streets is now as wide as 14 feet in many areas ― the width of a county road. At the vast majority of crossings, there are no barricades to block cars, like there are on the Fall Creek and Pennsy trails. And, trail users are particularly concerned about cars that have been spotted going off-road and on-trail in an attempt to avoid recent road closures on Broad Ripple Avenue on a section of the trail that is scheduled for widening in a few years.
