INDIANAPOLIS – This Saturday, Knozone and the Indianapolis Office of Sustainability will be hosting the Highly EVolved Indianapolis Electric Vehicle (EV) Showcase, sponsored by AES Indiana. This premier event will offer attendees the opportunity to test-drive multiple new-model EVs, demo a charger, and ask the experts any questions they may have about EVs and how to make the switch.

WHAT: Indianapolis Electric Vehicle Showcase
DATE: Saturday, October 22
TIME: Noon to 5 PM EST
TICKETS: This event is free, no registration is required.
LOCATION: St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th Street

"Demand for EVs is surging in Indianapolis, so this event arrives at a time when many residents are considering their first -- if not second -- electric vehicle," said Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. "And while I'm sure they're mostly swayed by benefits like reducing air pollution and lowering fuel and maintenance costs, these cars also represent the latest in automotive technology -- something that's always been important in Indianapolis."

This free, family-friendly event will feature a live DJ, food trucks, and free coffee for the first 200 attendees, all while showcasing the various makes and models of electric vehicles available in the Central Indiana market. This is a great way for folks to explore their options, whether they are interested in purchasing an EV soon or just curious to get some questions answered.

"There are currently a lot of misconceptions about EVs, but also a lot of movement at the state and federal levels to increase public charging options and affordability," said Morgan Mickelson, Director of the Indianapolis Office of Sustainability. "We know our community members have questions, so we're proud to create this in-person opportunity to get them connected with answers as we work to create a more resilient future for Indianapolis."
